WAYNE, Pa. (August 18, 2006) -- Professional deck builders now have access to a new line of composite decking products designed with their needs in mind. Portico™ Composite Decking is distributed exclusively through a network of independent lumberyards who serve construction professionals.
Portico is made of furniture-quality maple wood flour blended with tough, 100-percent-virgin, high-density polyethylene (HDPE). HPDE is noticeably stronger than recycled polymers. Maple wood flour does not bleach or create stains like oak or pine and it presents an attractive, consistent color all the way through the board. The result of this unique combination is a higher-quality product that is more consistent and natural looking.
Portico Composite Decking – consisting of dense, solid 5/4-inch by 6-inch boards – is available in 12- 16- and 20-foot lengths and four colors: gray, brown, redwood and cedar.
